Minneapolis Homes at the ‘Faces of Fair Housing’ this Saturday!

The Faces of Fair Housing is presented by two minority professional Real Estate trade organizations, National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, provide information on home ownership, community wealth building, education and to celebrate some of the champions that have made efforts to advance fair housing in the Twin Cities.

The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) is a nonprofit professional trade organization dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities by creating a powerful national voice for housing and real estate professionals that serve this dynamic market.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, (NAREB), is a professional real estate organization dedicated to making sure that predominantly African American and other minority communities are treated fairly as land use and urban planning policies are developed through the mission of “promoting democracy in housing”.

Minneapolis Homes is a program of the Residential and Real Estate Development (RRED) work unit of the City of Minneapolis department of Community Planning and Economic Development. The goal of this business unit is to create healthy, mixed income housing markets in the City by developing opportunities for homeownership and responsibly managing land banked property.
